Strategy
The strategy is to identify and appraise potential
relevant investee companies and to provide financing
in the form of private equity, mezzanine and/or
loan financing combined with active participation in
management at supervisory board level. Investment
may also take place in cooperation with or through
participation in equity funds.
The investee companies must commit themselves to
actively promote the UN’s Global Compact guidelines
for corporate governance and corporate social
responsibility in order to be eligible for financing.
This provides the basis for social and environmental
sustainability.
All investments are long term, but made on market
conditions, thereby securing the economic sustainability
of the investee companies.
The investments are carried out by a dedicated team
of local and international experts through a handson
approach, which enables a constructive dialogue
between the management and workforce of the
investee companies and the management of CSR
Capital.
Unless continued investment for further
consolidation or growth is required, it is CSR Capital’s
intention to divest from its investee companies
after a period of 6-10 years, once they have entered
a phase of consolidation and sustained growth. The
funds once returned will be used for making new
investments.
